Construction Estimator

As a Construction Estimator in the property industry, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects while ensuring efficient use of resources. This position is based in Rochester and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction processes and materials.

Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
• Source and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to support project budgets.
• Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Provide regular reports on cost estimates and project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.

Profile

A successful Construction Estimator should have:

• Proven knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
• Experience with Commercial and Retail projects
• Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management.
