Superintendent - Commercial
We're seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on projects in the Hartford area. This role will be responsible for day-to-day site management, subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and quality control.

Our client is a well-established general contractor with a strong presence in Connecticut, specializing in commercial, institutional, and mixed-use construction. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality work and fostering a team-oriented jobsite culture.
Description
Oversee all field operations from mobilization to project closeout
Manage daily job site activities, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently
Coordinate subcontractors and site logistics to maintain schedule and quality
Lead daily safety meetings, enforce OSHA regulations, and conduct site inspections
Communicate with project managers, clients, inspectors, and architects
Maintain daily logs, two-week lookaheads, and site documentation
Solve issues proactively and ensure minimal disruption to project flow
Profile
You're a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of commercial construction best practices. You take ownership of the jobsite, maintain a clean and organized environment, and consistently drive projects to timely, high-quality completions.
5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects
Strong understanding of ground-up and renovation practices
Skilled in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and on-site troubleshooting
OSHA 30 certification required
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
High school diploma required; technical training or degree preferred
