Electrical Engineer - Metal Manufacturing - Lancaster County

This role provides electrical engineering support to ensure safe, reliable plant operations while contributing to equipment troubleshooting and process improvement. It also leads projects from concept through commissioning, supporting production and maintenance teams to meet overall mill objectives.

Description

• Provide day-to-day electrical engineering support to production, maintenance, and technical teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on plant electrical systems, drives, and controls to minimize downtime.
• Lead projects from concept and scope development through design, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop technical specifications, review vendor proposals, and coordinate contractors.
• Ensure all project work complies with safety, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives targeting equipment reliability and process performance.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• At least 1 year of electrical engineering experience or two relevant engineering internships.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy-process environment strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical power, motor controls, and automation fundamentals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining a strong safety focus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional plant teams.
