Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Real Estate Firm)
Our Commercial Real Estate client is actively looking for a Assistant Project Manager to their team, and report to the VP of Development and Construction for the firm.
- Primary function of this role is to support both the Development and Construction team; from post acquisition, entitlement, precon, construction, etc.
- Majority of developer's portfolio is mixed use buildings with an ever growing portfolio in the industrial sector.
Client Details
Our client is commercial real estate firm that has worked as a Developer/GC/CM for 70+ years. They actively acquire, develop land, property to hold, but also manages third-party GC/CM work for external Developers and Private clients, as well. This year, they will work on $80-100M in new construction. Maintaining an active portfolio of 100+ properties and over 20 million square feet of leased space to retail, office and industrial clients.
Description
The Assistant Project Manager will:
- Provide overall leadership to entire development and project team
- Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
- Build and maintain rapport with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements.
- Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
Profile
The successful Assistant Project Manager will have the following:
- 2-3+ years' experience in developer or CM construction project environment/role
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering related field strongly preferred
- OSHA certification preferred
- Proficient in project management software
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
