Estimator

$155,000 - $185,000/Year

As the Estimator / Sr. Estimator, you will play a key role in pricing, budgeting, and bidding on high-end residential interior projects ranging from Townhome gut renovations to luxury apartment overhauls. You'll work closely with architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure each estimate reflects the unique craftsmanship and attention to detail expected in the luxury market.

Client Details

Our client, a premier General Contractor based in Queens, is renowned for delivering meticulously crafted luxury interior renovations for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs). With a reputation built on precision, discretion, and excellence, they are seeking an Estimator to join their elite team.

Description

As a Estimator, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for luxury residential interior projects.

  • Analyze architectural and design drawings to quantify and price all elements of a project.

  • Identify and solicit qualified subcontractors and vendors with experience in high-end finishes and craftsmanship.

  • Assist in scope definition, value engineering, and feasibility analysis during pre-construction.

  • Track and manage pricing trends, cost databases, and project benchmarks.

  • Work closely with leadership to support business development efforts, including preliminary budgeting for potential clients, proposal preparation, and helping cultivate new project opportunities.

  • Participate in client and consultant meetings, providing technical and cost input as needed.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of all estimating and bidding activities.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of Estimating experience in the Luxury Residential Interiors market (NYC experience preferred).

  • In-depth knowledge of high-end materials, finishes, and NYC construction practices.

  • Strong network of subcontractors and vendors in the high-end residential space.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with discerning clients and design professionals.

  • Proficiency with estimating tools/software (Bluebeam, Procore, MS Excel, etc.).

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, team-first attitude.
