Construction Healthcare Superintendent | Manhattan, NY
A general contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee healthcare construction projects, including renovations and upgrades to hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities. The role requires strong field management skills, knowledge of infection control protocols, and experience coordinating trades in active healthcare environments.

My client is a reputable General Contractor with deep experience in healthcare construction across New York City. They specialize in complex renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and compliance-driven projects within active hospital and medical environments. They are currently seeking a Healthcare Superintendent to lead field operations on projects in Manhattan.
Description
- Oversee daily site operations for healthcare construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics in active medical environments
- Ensure strict compliance with infection control protocols (ICRA), DOH regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain project schedules, quality control, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, project managers, and inspectors
- Conduct daily walkthroughs and manage punch lists and closeout procedures
- Troubleshoot field issues and proactively resolve conflicts
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in healthcare or hospital construction
- Strong understanding of ICRA, DOH, and Joint Commission requirements
- Proven ability to manage work in occupied facilities with minimal disruption
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- OSHA 30 certification required
- NYC construction experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
