Traveling Superintendent
A traveling superintendent oversees construction projects across different locations, managing all aspects from planning and budgeting to coordinating subcontractors and ensuring quality standards are met.

Description
Responsibilities of a Traveling Construction Superintendent are:
- Manage ground-up and remodel projects for large-scale retail clients
- Direct all on-site construction activities and subcontractors
- Maintain schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards
- Serve as liaison between office-based project team, owners, and subcontractors
- Conduct daily reports, progress tracking, and inspections
Profile
The Ideal Traveling Construction Superintendent will have:
- Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience, specifically in big box retail
- Proven success managing multi-million dollar commercial builds
- Strong understanding of construction documents, specs, and schedules
- OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Tech-savvy with familiarity using Procore, MS Project, or similar software
