Description

The Data Center Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Oversee procurement activities, including soliciting bids, reviewing proposals, and selecting qualified subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Lead on‑site project meetings to ensure alignment between construction teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other critical project documentation.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards through routine site inspections and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design issues and ensure constructability.
  • Drive project kickoff and closeout processes, ensuring thorough documentation and smooth handoff.
  • Track project financials, analyze cost trends, and report variances proactively.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries to support efficient, uninterrupted construction workflows.
  • Support the commissioning and turnover process for data center systems and infrastructure.
  • Facilitate communication across disciplines to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project phases.
  • Manage vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Assist in developing project execution plans and construction methodologies tailored to data center requirements.

Profile

The Data Center Project Manager will have:

  • A strong background in construction project management, ideally with experience supporting projects within the business services or commercial construction sectors, demonstrating an ability to navigate complex scopes, stakeholder expectations, and fast‑paced environments.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects, each with competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining clear oversight of schedules, budgets, deliverables, and team coordination.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling the candidate to coordinate seamlessly with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders at all levels throughout the project lifecycle.
  • High proficiency in project management software and digital tools (such as Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms), ensuring accurate documentation, efficient workflows, and strong project visibility.
  • A demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring all work adheres to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents, providing clear direction and oversight during planning and execution phases.
  • A proactive, self‑driven approach with the ability to thrive in a collaborative yet autonomous work environment.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate teams, build trust, and drive accountability across all project phases.
