Manufacturing Engineer - Metals Manufacturing - Berkley, MA
My client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will oversee production support and casting process design across multiple operations, from initial layout through machining. Your responsibilities will include pre-production modeling and simulation, 3D-printed component design, process development, efficiency improvements, and contributions to company growth initiatives.

Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, implementing, and evaluating casting processes and techniques.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal product quality.
- Troubleshooting and resoling technical issues related to casting processes.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participating in continuous learning and professional development activities.

Profile
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Preferred Education: Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in castings, foundry operations, metallurgy, machining, or metal manufacturing.
- Prior experience running casting simulations is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software with the ability to model accurately and efficiently.
- Strong ability to read and interpret 2D prints, quality requirements, specifications, and customer documentation.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for learning.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and successfully manages a broad scope of responsibilities.
- Knowledge of quality control systems and industry standards.
- Requirement: U.S. Citizenship or qualified Permanent Residency due to government contract regulations.
