Description
Lead the Precon Lifecycle: Oversee the entire preconstruction process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects, ensuring seamless handoffs to operations.
Strategic Estimating: Develop comprehensive conceptual estimates and detailed hard-bid proposals that balance market competitiveness with profitability.
Value Engineering: Proactively identify cost-saving alternatives and innovative construction methods to maximize client ROI without compromising quality.
Subcontractor Relations: Leverage your deep Milwaukee-market ties to recruit, vet, and manage high-quality trade partners for diverse project scopes.
Design Collaboration: Act as the technical lead in meetings with architects and engineers to resolve constructability issues during the design phase.
Risk Mitigation: Conduct thorough site assessments and contract reviews to identify and neutralize potential project hurdles before they hit the field.
Profile
Local Expertise: Extensive experience in the Milwaukee/SE Wisconsin construction market with a robust network of local subcontractors.
Senior Experience: 8+ years of dedicated preconstruction or estimating experience, specifically on projects exceeding $15M+.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., WinEst, On-Center, Procore, or Bluebeam) and a sharp eye for BIM integration.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to see the 'big picture' and provide high-level consulting to clients during the conceptual phase.
Leadership Mindset: A track record of mentoring junior estimators and a desire to step into a defined leadership succession track.
