The Project Engineer (Assistant Project Manager) will join a dynamic team in our client's Northampton office, supporting various projects primarily in commercial, public, multifamily, and higher education sectors. Our client, a family-owned and mid-sized general contracting, construction management, and owner's project management firm, has been a cornerstone of the construction industry in Massachusetts since 1897. Based in Northampton, MA, they manage projects across Massachusetts and Connecticut, maintaining a manageable workload through a tight-knit, collaborative team effort. With a history of delivering high-quality public and private projects, they pride themselves on their extensive experience and strong market presence in sectors such as education, libraries, industrial, mixed-use, and historical renovations.
Description
- Project Support: Assist Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
- Documentation: Maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to address project requirements and ensure satisfaction.
- Technology Utilization: Use and manage construction management software; willing to train on specific CM technologies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the ten-person office team, ensuring a good cultural fit and team synergy.
Profile
- Experience: 1-3 years in a related role within commercial, public, multifamily, or higher education construction projects.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction management software; willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Location: Must be easily commutable to the Northampton office; flexibility for occasional remote work upon request.
- Professional Traits: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.
