Multifamily Project Manager

$110,000 - $130,000/Year

The Project Manager manages the direction, completion, and financial outcome of an assigned project. In this role you will be responsible for supervising, directing and mentoring project engineering and administrative staff. The ideal candidate must be able to perform minimal monthly travel.

My client is based in Noblesville, IN yet a nationally recognized Multifamily general contractor. They primarily serve the Multifamily space but work in commercial construction as well. Bringing in nearly $150M in yearly revenue, my client offers career progression to Executive level. They hold a collaborative and innovate practice with a cohesive culture.

Description

The ideal Project Manager will:

  • Oversee, manage, and actively participate in assigned project activities to achieve objectives within specified timelines and budget constraints.
  • Analyze product designs to ensure adherence to engineering principles, company standards, client requirements, and applicable drawings and specifications.
  • Review construction specifications and establish procedures based on project start and completion dates, as well as staffing needs for each phase.
  • Develop and approve job forecasts to support effective project management.
  • Examine project specifications to ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with all requirements and standards.
  • Assess proposals and contracts to ensure alignment with client and designer needs, as well as compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Build, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Drive project profitability by managing start-up processes, tracking budgets, updating schedules, and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Handle all aspects of owner billing and collaborate closely with accounting. Accurately report monthly cash flow in a timely manner.

Profile

The ideal Project Manager will have:

  • BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture is required
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Procore, Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project.
  • Must have wood frame ground-up Multifamily project experience
  • Must be skilled at a variety of pre-construction work, such as planning, design and constructability review, value engineering, scheduling, and conceptual estimating.
  • Must be client facing
  • Must have strong communication and organization skills
  • Garden style multifamily is a requirement
