CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer - Worcester, MA
As a CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer, you will focus on developing, writing, and optimizing CNC programs for mills, lathes, and other machining equipment. Description
The CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Operations Manager and be responsible for:
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Review blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to determine machining strategy.
- Select tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and fixtures to maximize productivity and quality.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support to operators on the shop floor.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements.

Profile
- Associate's or Technical degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience (Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, or similar preferred).
- Strong understanding of G-code, CNC machining practices, and toolpath strategies.
- Experience with fabrication processes such as welding, sheet metal, and assembly is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
