Maintenance Support
The Maintenance Support Staff is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and facility support tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the New York office.
Client Details
Our client is a prestigious, internationally recognized law firm known for its deep expertise in corporate law, litigation, and regulatory matters.
Description
Assemble, disassemble, and repair office furniture such as desks, shelving, and workstations.
Install items like keyboard trays, artwork, shelving, and floor molding.
Perform minor carpentry, painting, tile work, and laminate repairs.
Conduct touch-ups and refinishing on wood surfaces and furniture.
Assist with setup and breakdown for events, meetings, and internal moves.
Ensure all spaces are returned to original condition post-use.
Restock copy paper on assigned floors, deliver documents throughout the firm, and respond promptly to work orders.
Clean, inspect, and prepare conference and meeting rooms to meet firm standards.
Lift and move heavy boxes, furniture, and equipment as needed for internal office moves or maintenance tasks.
Profile
- Hands-on, reliable, and service-oriented professional with a strong background in general maintenance and facilities support.
- They have at least 3 years of experience in a corporate or institutional setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of building operations, furniture assembly, and light repairs.
- They take pride in maintaining clean, functional, and well-organized workspaces and meeting areas, and they respond quickly and efficiently to requests.
- This person is highly dependable, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative facilities team.
- They are physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items and are flexible with their schedule, including availability for evening or weekend work when needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, as they will interact regularly with staff across all levels of the firm.
