Payroll Specialist | Indianapolis, IN
The Payroll Specialist will be based in the firm's Indianapolis office and be joining a team of two. They will be responsible for managing and processing all aspects of the firm's payroll functions.
Client Details
My client is an established law firm operating on a hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite, 2 from home. The firm uses ADP WFN to process payroll.
Description
- Oversee all payroll processes: manage semi-monthly and monthly payroll, including worksheets, journal entries, and reports.
- Maintain payroll records and process employee and partner changes.
- Ensure accurate operation of electronic timesheet software.
- Document all payroll processing responsibilities and deadlines.
- Complete W-2 reconciliation, processing, and distribution.
- Balance payroll withholding accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies with HR.
- Coordinate with third-party payroll processors for accurate tax filings and address notices.
- Stay updated on payroll tax laws and advise accounting leadership on relevant changes.
- Manage payroll audits, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- 5+ years experience managing full cycle payroll (required)
- Experience with ADP WFN (preferred)
- Keen attention to detail
