Quality Manager - 1st Shift
The QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Assurance
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control programs and systems to ensure products meet or exceed company, industry, and regulatory standards.
- Perform regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Oversee product testing and lab analysis to verify food safety and quality specifications.

Food Safety Management
- Lead and ensure adherence to food safety regulations, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular training on food safety protocols, allergen management, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Manage and monitor internal and external audits to verify compliance with food safety standards.

Regulatory Compliance
- Stay updated on relevant local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and any applicable food manufacturing regulations.
- Oversee the preparation of documents required for regulatory inspections and certifications.
- Manage recalls and ensure corrective actions are taken quickly in the event of a non-compliant product batch.

Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of QA staff, fostering a culture of quality and food safety across the facility.
- Provide ongoing training for production and QA teams to enhance their understanding of food safety, quality control measures, and relevant regulations.
- Ensure all employees are compliant with training schedules and documentation requirements.

Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to identify areas for quality and process improvement.
- Lead investigations and root cause analysis for quality issues and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and track quality metrics, reporting on trends, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, audits, quality checks, and product testing.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management on product quality, audits, food safety, and any corrective actions taken.
- Ensure all documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Food Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety management within a ready-to-eat or food manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements in the food industry.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to report and explain complex data clearly.
- Ability to analyze data and trends, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in HACCP, SQF, or similar food safety certifications is preferred.
