Our client, a reputable manufacturer of electro-mechanical components for the on-road and off-road industries, has built a strong legacy over 30 years with consistent year-over-year growth. Due to their continued success, they are seeking to expand their team by hiring a Quality Engineer. This pivotal leadership position within the quality department offers significant opportunities for career advancement within the organization.
Client Details
Our client, a Northlake-based electro-mechanical manufacturer with over 30 years of success and notable growth, specializes in wire harnesses, assemblies, modifications, kits, and custom-tooled components. They are looking to add a Quality Engineer to their quality team. This role involves ensuring compliance with IATF industry standards across the product line, managing PPAP documentation, and maintaining effective communication with customers and suppliers.Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:
- Provide Quality Engineering Services to support Clients, Business Development, Sales, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Oversee and maintain Client Product Data Management, including managing Quality Specifications, PPAP Documents, NCRs, and CARs.
- Assist Clients and Leadership teams with Quality-related Project Management, including the APQP process, PPAP process, and Production Launch.
- Engage in safety activities, audits, and training, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Recognize that safety is a shared responsibility for all employees.
- Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned and needed.
- Ensuring product line adheres to IATF standards
- Acting as the liaison between suppliers and handling any non conformances.
- Continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile
A Successful Quality Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant industry experience
- Experience in a production manufacturing setting
- Experience utliizing and adhering to IATF industry standards.
- Proficiency with AIAG core tools
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing and quality methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO compliance, Kanban, Five Whys, and other best practices.
- Experience with injection molding is heavily preferred
- Experience with writing PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, and Control plans
- Sponsorship not provided

- Salary up to $95k depending on experience
