My Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Support Specialist to perform in-process and final inspections of mechanical parts, electronic assemblies, and finished products while maintaining and supporting quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, FAA). This role involves contributing to product quality improvements, managing audits, and collaborating in a high-performance team within the aerospace, military, and medical industries.

Description
The Quality Assurance Support Specialist will be responsible for:
- Conduct Inspections and Ensure Product Quality: Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections to verify conformance of mechanical parts, electronic assemblies, and finished products.
- Support Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, FAA): Maintain and enhance compliance with industry standards and participate in internal and external audits.
- Create and Manage Quality Documentation: Generate First Article Inspection Reports, monitor product certifications, and document inspection results in quality databases.
- Identify and Implement Process Improvements: Recommend corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and streamline operations.
- Manage FAA Repair Manual and Expirable Items: Oversee repair manual updates and ensure proper monitoring of items with expiration dates.
- Collaborate with Vendors and Team Members: Communicate with vendors regarding certifications and corrective actions while contributing to a team-focused work environment.
Profile
A Successful Quality Assurance Support Specialist will:
- Experienced in Quality Control and Systems: Brings 3-5 years of experience in quality control inspection and managing Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Detail-Oriented and Mechanically Apt: Possesses strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to analyze and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Technologically Skilled: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and capable of documenting results and maintaining quality databases.
- Team-Oriented with Strong Communication Skills: Excels in collaboration, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities to work effectively across departments.
- Physically Capable and Adaptable: Comfortable lifting products of 50 lbs+, standing for periods, and thriving in a dynamic work environment with changing assignments.
- Education and Knowledge-Driven: Holds a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the aerospace and defense quality sector.
