We are currently partnered up with a leading manufacturer of high-performance components and systems. Based in the Greater Buffalo area, they specialize in designing and producing advanced technology products for various industries, including aerospace, defense, and industrial automation. This role will report up into the Quality Director and will join a team of 4 other quality professionals. Description
The Quality Engineer - AS9100 will be responsible for the following:
- Apply Technical Strengths: Identify and implement technical solutions to improve business processes.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct audits, failure analysis, and PPAP/APQP activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Customer Focus: Support customer needs and address product quality issues.
Profile
The ideal Quality Engineer - AS9100 will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D).
- ITAR compliance knowledge.
- Project management skills.
- Engineering drawing interpretation and specification understanding.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Minitab, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and work independently.
Job Offer
The successful Quality Engineer - AS9100 will be rewarded with the following:
