HYBRID Senior Quality Engineer - Manufacturing- Boston, MA
The Senior Quality Engineer will lead quality initiatives across new product introduction and sustaining efforts, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and support teams to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction. They will drive root cause investigations, implement quality controls, and support continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle at their Downtown Boston, MA faiclity.

Description
Senior Quality Engineer - Health & Hardware will:
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and support teams to identify and resolve potential quality issues during product development.
- Lead product qualification and reliability testing to ensure readiness for manufacturing and launch.
- Develop and implement inspection plans and quality controls in partnership with internal teams and contract manufacturers.
- Facilitate risk assessments and validation reviews to address potential safety and quality concerns.
- Support regulatory compliance and coordinate with legal and certification bodies for product approvals.
- Monitor quality metrics during pilot and early production builds to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Analyze field and return data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of in-market products through sustained quality oversight.
- Collaborate with customer support and field teams to investigate and resolve recurring product issues.
- Communicate key quality metrics and escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by refining quality processes and standards.
- Incorporate lessons learned from past launches into future product designs and operations.
- Be onsite at our Downtown Boston, MA facility with some flexibility
Profile
- 5-7 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on NPI and sustaining quality.
- Previous experience at a health / hawdware manufacturer is a plus
- Strong foundation in electromechanical systems and manufacturing quality principles.
- Proficiency in risk assessment (e.g., FMEA), validation processes, and safety compliance.
- Experience supporting complex consumer electronics or similarly integrated hardware products.
- Skilled in analyzing quality data and driving root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Familiarity with regulatory certification processes and product compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with PLM systems and quality documentation tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, manufacturing, and support teams.
- Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners, especially in Asia.
- Comfortable managing time zones and participating in early morning/evening calls.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, able to balance independent work and team coordination.
