Head of People
A high-growth AI company is seeking a Head of People to build and lead its people operations function. This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution, shaping everything from compensation and org design to performance and global operations.

Description
- Lead all People Operations strategy and execution.
- Build scalable people systems for compensation, equity, performance, and culture.
- Manage benefits across the US, UK, and Canada.
- Oversee multi‑state and international payroll and compliance.
- Design simple, effective performance and feedback processes.
- Drive org design and workforce planning with leadership.
- Handle sensitive employee issues with sound judgment.
- Ensure the NYC office is a collaborative, energizing environment.
- Operate as a strategic leader who also executes hands‑on.
- Owns the full employee lifecycle, excluding recruitment.
Profile
A successful Head of People should have:
- 5+ years in people operations and ideally some business experience.
- Strong expertise in compensation and equity.
- Experience working in a start up environment.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and inspire teams.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
Job Offer
