Operations Leader - Industrial Manufacturing - Nashua, NH

The Operations Leader will implement processes from the ground up and oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role is pivotal in building out the operations of a brand new pilot plant in New Hampshire.

Description

As the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

• Manage and oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency goals are achieved.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Hire, lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee transitions from the lab environment into a production facility.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations within the facility.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and maintenance, to address operational challenges.
• Drive initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Prepare and present reports on production performance to senior management.

Profile

A successful Operations Leader should have:

• Experience working in an industrial startup work environment.
• Experience building out a pilot plant preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in the industrial manufacturing space.
• Background in mechanical engineering and an understanding of how furnaces work.
• Understanding of metallurgical processes.
• Familiarity with major commodity metals such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, aluminum, copper.
• Familiarity with minerals processing, casting, etc.
• Knowledge on ferrous and non-ferrous furnace systems such as kilns, induction furnaces, etc.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations within the industrial sector.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in analyzing production data and implementing process improvements.
• A commitment to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
