Project Accounting Manager
My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Accounting Manager. In this role, you will oversee project-related financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction accounting and be adept at managing the financial health of multiple, simultaneous projects.

Description
Manage all project accounting functions across a portfolio of active construction projects
Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
Prepare monthly project reports and variance analyses for senior leadership
Oversee client billing, subcontractor payments, and change order tracking
Ensure compliance with internal controls and contractual requirements
Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit readiness
Lead and mentor a small team of project accountants
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
Minimum of 7-10 years of project accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate development sector
Strong understanding of AIA billing, job cost accounting, and WIP reporting
Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar)
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
