Client Details

Client is family-owned grocery chain in NYC and surrounding areas. Initially specializing in seafood, it has expanded to offer a wide range of premium products, including prime meats, artisanal cheeses, fresh produce, chef-prepared foods, and fine wines.

Description

• Manage warehouse operations by enforcing policies and supporting all store locations.

• Ensure safety compliance and maintain up-to-date records.

• Lead, train, and motivate staff to meet departmental goals.

• Handle entry-level hiring and training.

• Support employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions with management and HR.

• Collaborate with Safety to maintain a clean, safe work environment.

• Identify and recommend operational improvements.

• Oversee multi-department teams and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Coordinate with other departments to meet company objectives.

• Monitor product freshness and inventory accuracy with Call Center.

• Train staff on equipment use to uphold safety and sanitation.

• Conduct performance reviews and manage scheduling and timekeeping.

• Adjust labor needs seasonally and enforce cleaning schedules.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Profile

• 3-5 YOE in a manufacturing and distribution environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Experience managing large teams
