Senior Quality Engineer - Small Precision Manufacturing - VT
The Quality Assurance Engineer will lead efforts to enhance quality and ensure compliance with all established standards, including AS9100 and ISO9001. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement within the Quality Management System.

Description
The Quality Engineer (Small Precision Manufacturing)
- ISO9001/AS9100 complaince
- Implement and maintain quality engineering tools like SPC, AQL, and CPk to improve process reliability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce scrap, and minimize rework.
- Utilize and promote tools such as Process Mapping, FMEA, Gage R&R, SPC, and Lean practices for quality control.
- Collaborate with engineering and shop floor teams to improve product and process quality.
- Support non-conformance reviews and MRB activities to ensure cost-effective and compliant dispositions.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of APQP documents like PPAPs.
- Manage measurement and non-destructive testing equipment, ensuring proper documentation and calibration.
- Drive RMA and CAPA processes, including tracking, reporting, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Foster effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and auditors to close quality-related action items.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and conduct internal/external audits.
- Local to Fairfax, VT or open to relocation (provided)
Profile
- Background in small precision manufacturing (high-end measuring techniques, precision to 1 1000th of an inch)
- Experience in aerospace/defense a plus
- AS9100 / ISO9001
- 3 + years of experience in Quality
