My client is the General Contracting division of a multi-branch construction group offering electrical, mechanical, and sheet metal services. Known for their close-knit, family-oriented culture, they deliver a full spectrum of construction services with a personal touch. Led by a seasoned executive with over 35 years of construction experience, the company is expanding rapidly. Their project portfolio includes schools, offices, industrial spaces, hospitality, and mixed-use developments, with project sizes ranging from $1M to $50M.
Description
You'll play a key role in the preconstruction process, helping the team win and plan successful projects.
Key duties include:
- Reviewing drawings and specifications to develop accurate estimates
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids
- Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns
- Collaborating with project managers and leadership on budgets and proposals
- Participating in value engineering and bid strategy discussions

Profile
You're a detail-oriented Estimator who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on diverse commercial projects.
You bring:
- 3+ years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction documents and scopes of work
- Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
- Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
