Commercial Construction Project Manager - Northern MA
The Project Manager will be responsible for establishing baseline construction schedules and monitoring their adherence to ensure deadlines are met. The Project Manager will oversee construction by providing administrative direction to the on-site Superintendent, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget while investigating serious situations and implementing corrective measures as needed.

Our client is one of Boston's premier general contractors, boasting over 30 years of experience in the industry. They specialize in a diverse range of markets, including corporate commercial, academic, hospitality, historical, and religious projects. The company excels in both complex renovations and ground-up construction, with a strong backlog of projects secured for the next two years.
Description
- Secure building permits, licenses and occupancy certificates.
- Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure building the project on schedule and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client and Architect. Review job cost reports and maintain accurate and timely indicated cost reporting.
- Coordinate meetings with Owner's representatives, Architects/Engineers for obtaining approvals to jointly discuss procedures, progress, problems and scheduling.
- Assist in preparation of bid day information.
- Author and issue meeting minutes promptly.
- Schedule and assist in progress meetings with Trade Contractors and Construction Superintendents.
- Secure scheduling for equipment, material, shop drawings, submittals and deliveries.
- Assume additional responsibilities or special projects as needed
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or related field preferred
- 5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager (running projects start to finish)
- Ground up commercial project experience highly preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects
- Proficient in Procore and Bluebeam
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
