Senior Project Manager - Indianapolis Healthcare Construction
Join an established design-build contractor managing healthcare construction projects all local to Indianapolis. Lead project teams and oversee all aspects of project execution.
Client Details
Our client is an Indianapolis-based Design-Build and Construction Management firm with over 80 years of experience, specializing in healthcare construction projects. Known for their collaborative culture and strong relationships with clients and local municipalities, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead healthcare projects and mentor a team of Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers.
Description
Key Responsibilities Include:
Ensure all project work, materials, and subcontractor activities comply with contract documents, specifications, and quality standards
Execute project schedules, monitor progress, and communicate updates with project managers and owners
Assign and prioritize work, estimate manpower needs, and coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions
Train employees on job duties, standards, safety regulations, and site protocols while fostering a culture of safety and cleanliness
Conduct daily inspections to enforce quality control and adherence to specifications
Advise on job-related issues, manage employee performance, and address disciplinary matters as needed
Oversee project closeout, including demobilization of resources and smooth transition to the owner with the Project Manager
Profile
Successful Candidate Profile:
Associate degree in Construction Management or related field
Minimum 5 years of construction experience on complex projects, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Experience with self-perform work; MEP and occupied-space project experience preferred
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, techniques, and blueprint/specification interpretation
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, project managers, and field staff
Solid understanding of project cost analysis and budget management
Proficient with construction-related software, spreadsheets, and email communication
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills
