Manufacturing Engineer | CNC Machining
We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support and enhance machining and assembly operations for a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical components. This role is responsible for developing efficient manufacturing processes, generating CNC programs, selecting tooling, and driving continuous improvement efforts throughout the production floor.

Our client is a 100% employee-owned manufacturer specializing in industrial electric actuators-precision motor-driven units used to control valves, dampers, and other final control elements across industrial environments.
Description
Develop and maintain efficient manufacturing processes for machining and assembly operations.
Generate CNC programs for turning, milling, grinding, and gear shaping operations.
Design and specify tooling, fixtures, and jigs using SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
Review and improve current manufacturing methods to ensure cost-effectiveness and productivity.
Conduct time and motion studies; perform job costing and recommend process improvements.
Identify and recommend capital equipment investments, including preparing cost/benefit analyses.
Lead long-term planning initiatives for new technologies and future projects.
Mentor junior engineers and support peer projects as needed.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure new product designs are manufacturable.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to internal teams and suppliers.
Stay up-to-date on manufacturing trends, methods, and technologies to enhance company operations.
Maintain documentation and records related to manufacturing activities and projects.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
5-8 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM programming software.
Deep understanding of machining processes for aluminum, castings, and alloy steels.
Knowledge of inspection tools, CMMs, GD&T, and SPC.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Job Offer
Primarily office-based with regular time spent on the production floor.
Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
Occasional use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.) is required when on the shop floor.
