Position Overview: Assistant Project Manager
My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced project managers on large-scale multi-family and commercial construction projects ranging from $20 million to $60 million. The ideal candidate will have a passion for construction, strong organizational skills, and a desire to grow within a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Review and track project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to address issues and maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety and construction protocols.
  • Help maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive problem-solving.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction management, ideally on multi-family or commercial projects.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
