My client, a well-established general contracting firm based in Gaithersburg, MD, is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team. Since 1993, they have been providing comprehensive construction solutions, including general contracting, construction management, design-build, and value engineering. They specialize in the healthcare sector but also work across education, government, retail, pharmaceutical, and commercial interiors.

Position Overview
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial construction projects ranging from $500K to $20M. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor project progress, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with zoning, permitting, and safety regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct site evaluations, value engineering, and risk management assessments.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Strong background in healthcare, education, government, retail, or commercial interiors is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage projects ranging from $500K to $20M.
- Experience with zoning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
