Project Manager - New Construction/Ground Up - Northern VA

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful completion of large-scale commercial new construction projects. Project will be valued between $30M - $250M or higher.

Description

The Project Manager - New Construction/Ground Up - Northern VA will be responsible for:

  • The overall management and successful completion of major, multi-million-dollar commercial new construction projects
  • Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, and internal staff
  • Project organization, implementation and completion to the satisfaction of the client
  • Managing project plans from preconstruction to completion
  • Establishing checklists for inspections and SOPs
  • Working in coordination with field personnel to implement and enforce quality control standards
  • Participating in weekly subcontractor meetings with project Superintendent
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance
  • Tracking all potential change orders
  • Leading and training project team members to support their growth and development
  • Administering work inspections to ensure that quality and performance standards are being met

Profile

The Project Manager - New Construction/Ground Up - Northern VA will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • +/- 5-10 years of construction experience
  • General Contracting background
  • Strong tenure at current and previous employers
  • Demonstrated history of overseeing large-scale, multi-million-dollar commercial construction projects from the ground-up
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Procore and Bluebeam preferred
