Preconstruction Director

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Director to lead all preconstruction and estimating efforts for large-scale commercial and multifamily projects across South Florida. This role is ideal for a seasoned Chief Estimator ready to step into a leadership position, with compensation up to $190,000 for the right candidate.

Description

• Lead and manage the preconstruction and estimating department, overseeing all bid and proposal efforts.

• Develop detailed project budgets, estimates, and value engineering strategies.

• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure accurate scope development.

• Manage subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, and contract negotiations.

• Implement and refine preconstruction processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Provide mentorship and leadership to the estimating team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Profile

• 10+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction, with at least 5 years in a senior or chief estimator role.

• Proven track record delivering estimates for large-scale commercial and multifamily projects.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and multiple concurrent bids.

• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards.

• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
