Assistant Project Manager
We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a growing General Contractor in Fort Lauderdale, FL specializing in office space, retail, and restaurant construction projects.
Client Details
Our client is a well-established commercial General Contractor known throughout South Florida for delivering high-quality interior buildouts and ground-up commercial projects across the retail, restaurant, and office sectors. They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative culture, maintaining long-term client relationships, and producing consistent repeat business. Their portfolio ranges from small-scale tenant improvements to multi-million-dollar commercial renovations.
Description
Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout.
Coordinate subcontractor schedules, procurement, and documentation to ensure project milestones are met.
Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with project scope.
Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes to maintain project organization.
Work closely with field teams to support daily project operations and maintain jobsite communication.
Contribute to budget tracking, cost reports, and invoice management.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
2-5 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects with a General Contractor.
Experience in retail, restaurant, or office space projects is required.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to grow into a full Project Manager role.
Job Offer
