Description

The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Projects - Columbia, MD will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Superintendent in overseeing daily site activities for multifamily projects, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
• Enforcing safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
• Collaborating with project teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Conducting site inspections and managing project documentation.
• Assisting with project logistics, including material procurement and equipment management.

Profile

The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Projects - Columbia, MD will have:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, with exposure to both interior and concrete projects.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes, particularly in commercial construction.
• Project Management: Experience managing multiple subcontractors, scheduling, and project logistics in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Safety: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience enforcing safety protocols on-site.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and general project documentation tools.
