Benefits Compliance Specialist | Hybrid in NYC
The Benefits Compliance Specialist will oversee and ensure adherence to all applicable benefits regulations. This role involves staying updated on compliance requirements and implementing effective strategies within the benefits team.

Description
- Oversee compliance with all federal and state benefits regulations, including ERISA, ACA, and COBRA.
- Conduct regular audits of benefits programs and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to the human resources team on compliance-related matters.
- Collaborate with legal and external consultants to address compliance issues effectively.
- Monitor changes in legislation and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on compliance requirements for HR staff and management.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory filings on time and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits compliance.

Profile
A successful Benefits Compliance Specialist should have:
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
- Experience working within the professional services industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in managing compliance audits and regulatory filings.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree (required).
