Description

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging trends, and potential growth areas within the materials industry.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, suppliers, and industry influencers.
  4. Lead negotiations and strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth, expand market reach, and enhance the company's competitive position.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, and operations, to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products and services.
  6. Drive innovation and product development initiatives to meet customer needs and stay ahead of market trends.
  7. Monitor market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify threats and opportunities for the company.
  8. Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  9. Analyze and report on key performance metrics, business trends, and growth opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
  10. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness and establish thought leadership.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, and leadership roles within the materials or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities. Embodies a 'player- coach' mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and motivating high-performing teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends within the materials sector.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed business decisions.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
