I'm partnered exclusively with a multi-million-dollar, privately held manufacturer near Elmhurst, IL that's in massive growth mode and expected to double revenue in the coming years. They're now looking to add an Accountant to their team!
This is a great opportunity for someone eager to take on more responsibility as the company continues to grow. As the Accountant, you'll manage core accounting functions including AP/AR, invoicing, journal entries, and bank reconciliations, while also supporting month-end close and financial reporting. You'll play a key role in building out internal reporting processes and will work directly with ownership on financial strategy.

Description
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions and assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Review and summarize financial reports for management as needed.
- Prepare trial balances to support the accounting team.
- Generate and process daily invoices, including reviewing and updating cost reports.
- Maintain and update daily operational dashboards.
- Liaise with clients to manage accounts receivable, resolve discrepancies, and discuss account statuses.
- Coordinate with vendors to verify charges and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and present batch invoices for approval on a bi-monthly schedule (5th and 20th) or as directed by management.
- Support budgeting processes and monitor variances from the annual budget.
- Advise management on regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide support for daily IT needs and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Assist other departments with business functions when needed.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, including IT (preferred, but not required).
- Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
