Sr. Data Engineer, AWS and AI
We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer in Charlotte, NC, who has deep expertise in AWS Cloud technologies, AI/ML integration, and big data engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, hands-on experience with scalable data pipelines, and a passion for leveraging cloud-native tools to drive intelligent data solutions. Python and SQL experience is required!

Description
- Design and optimize data infrastructure: Build scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses using AWS Glue, Apache Kafka, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and Amazon S3, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
- Develop and maintain code and automation: Write efficient, reusable, and testable Python, SQL, and PySpark code, and implement infrastructure as code using CloudFormation Templates (CFT).
- Integrate AI/ML workflows: Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to deploy AI/ML models into production-grade data workflows while maintaining data quality and governance.
- Contribute to architecture and strategy: Participate in architectural discussions, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support cloud strategy and best practices.

Profile
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS Cloud, including hands-on work with AWS Glue, Apache Kafka, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudFormation Templates (CFT).
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark, with solid experience building and maintaining scalable, production-grade data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating models into data workflows, along with familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative team settings.
