Superintendent- Grocery Store Construction
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground-up grocery store construction projects in Fort Lauderdale, with a heavy concentration on Publix builds. This role is responsible for driving the full field operations from site mobilization through final turnover while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule excellence.

They are known for delivering high-volume retail and grocery projects with precision, speed, and consistent quality, supported by a strong internal operations and preconstruction team.
Description
Oversee all on-site construction activities from ground-breaking through project closeout.
Manage subcontractors, field labor, inspections, and daily site operations.
Drive project schedules, ensure critical milestones are met, and proactively resolve field issues.
Enforce strict safety standards and maintain full OSHA compliance.
Coordinate directly with project managers, owners, inspectors, and municipal officials.
Conduct daily site meetings, progress reporting, and quality control inspections.
Ensure all work aligns with Publix construction standards and client expectations.
Profile
5+ years of Superintendent experience on ground-up grocery or big-box retail projects (Publix experience strongly preferred).
Proven background leading projects from dirt work through final turnover.
Strong understanding of site logistics, concrete, structural, MEP coordination, and life-safety systems.
Ability to lead subcontractors, maintain schedules, and solve field challenges independently.
Strong communication skills with owners, inspectors, and internal teams.
Proficient with scheduling software and construction technology (Procore preferred).
OSHA 30 certified or willing to obtain quickly.
