Senior Director, Policies and Procedures
Join a top Financial Crime Consultancy as a key member of their global financial crimes team.
Client Details
Client is a global risk advisory firm.
Description
Execute discrete tasks independently to support the multi-jurisdictional payment review control framework.
Identify control gaps and areas for enhancement within the payment review process, and propose effective remediation strategies.
Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of the payment review program in coordination with the Head of Policies and Procedures.
Develop and propose risk management solutions to support new products, services, or activity types within the payment environment.
Draft, revise, and maintain policies and procedures related to payment review and broader control framework components.
Create and deliver training materials and sessions for internal teams involved in payment review activities.
Provide compliance advisory support to internal and external stakeholders on matters related to payment review and related controls.
Profile
Bachelor's degree or international equivalent required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) preferred.
7+ years of experience in a responsible risk management or second line of defense role within a U.S. or global financial institution.
5+ years of experience in Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) program development, implementation, and regulatory compliance.
Deep understanding of AML/CFT global standards, including customer due diligence (CDD), correspondent banking, and cross-border payments.
Demonstrated ability to tailor AML/CFT programs to meet varied jurisdictional, product, and service-specific risk profiles.
Proven track record of creative problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking in designing and enhancing financial crime controls.
Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environments, with the ability to make sound risk-based decisions under pressure.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide practical, risk-aligned advisory across business and control functions.
A genuine passion for innovation and breaking new ground in the AML/CFT space, with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
