We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in commercial interiors to oversee high-profile projects across Northern Virginia and the DC Metro. Our client is a growing general contractor with over 15 years in business and a strong reputation in the Northern Virginia and DC Metro markets. With annual revenues averaging $35M and projects ranging from $1M-$20M, they specialize in design-build, new construction, and interior renovations across retail, hospitality, medical, multifamily, and more. The company has grown from a small three-person team to over a dozen employees, with continued plans for expansion. Description
As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing field operations on commercial interior projects ranging from $1M-$20M. You will oversee daily scheduling, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget. Projects will span retail, hospitality, restaurant, office, daycare, and other interior sectors, with opportunities to work on base building assignments as well.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
Manage day-to-day site operations to keep projects on schedule and within budget
Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to resolve challenges and deliver successful outcomes
Maintain accurate project documentation using Procore
Profile
5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial interiors
Proven ability to run projects valued at $1M+ (base building experience a plus)
Strong scheduling and coordination skills
Proficient in Procore
Effective communicator with subcontractors, project managers, and ownership teams
Detail-oriented and solutions-focused leader who ensures quality and safety
