In this role, you will be instrumental in introducing, optimizing, and scaling processes for Nitinol tube and wire manufacturing, serving as a key technical liaison between Production, Quality, and Engineering. This is a hands‑on engineering position with real ownership of systems, processes, and improvements.

A rapidly growing leader in advanced engineering, prototyping, and micro-manufacturing is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the expansion of high‑precision medical device production. This organization focuses heavily on innovation, continuous improvement, and developing next‑generation manufacturing technologies.

Description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Establish and scale manufacturing capability for Nitinol tube/wire production.
  • Review, refine, and update process procedures to align with intended design and quality standards.
  • Improve yields through new process controls, data analysis, and validation of implemented changes.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to apply Lean principles to process design and product planning.
  • Create and maintain documentation including prints, work instructions, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Own the transition of products into production, ensuring quality, stability, and readiness.
  • Assist in developing Flow Charts, PFMEAs, and Control Plans for products entering manufacturing.
  • Build deep expertise in Nitinol tube/wire production, including mechanical properties, dimensional control, and process behavior.
  • Provide technical support for equipment validation and smooth integration into production.
  • Collaborate effectively with operators and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a mentor and engineering leader while promoting strong safety and GMP-focused practices.
  • Support job costing, cost‑reduction activities, and operator training.
  • Provide updates through weekly/monthly activity and performance reporting.

Profile

The successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have a background as follows:

  • BS or MS in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in fast‑paced, dynamic manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and safety documentation.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
