The NYC Affordable Housing Asset Manager will oversee operations and ensure optimal performance across a growing portfolio of LIHTC assets in NY, as part of a robust team. This position requires expertise in affordable asset management and a strategic approach to asset optimization.

Description

  • Advise on predevelopment activities, working closely with C-Suite leaders and the acquisitions team.
  • Manage day-to-day property operations, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor property performance and implement strategies to maximize asset value and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to address tenant concerns and maintain high occupancy rates.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to assess asset performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair projects.
  • Develop and implement budgets for property operations, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
  • Stay informed about market trends and provide recommendations for property upgrades or repositioning.
  • Support the acquisition and disposition process by providing asset-related insights and data.

Profile

A successful NYC Overflow Asset Manager should have:

  • Will have LIHTC affordable housing experience - this is a non-negotiable
  • Candidate must have worked in asset management within the affordable housing space
  • Strong knowledge of property management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and creating actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with tenants, vendors, and team members.
  • A results-driven mindset and a focus on achieving operational excellence.
