Senior Director of Advanced Manufacturing - Newport, NH
Seeking a strategic and operational manufacturing executive to oversee multi-site manufacturing operations and lead enterprise-wide operational excellence initiatives. This role will drive scalable manufacturing performance, leadership development, capacity planning, and cross-functional execution while ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy and customer demand.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute manufacturing strategies across multiple production sites.
- Drive operational KPIs including OEE, throughput, yield, scrap reduction, cycle time, and on-time delivery performance.
- Standardize manufacturing operating models and processes across facilities to support scalability and consistency.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and capacity management initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure integrated operational execution.
- Lead and develop manufacturing leadership teams, succession planning, and organizational capability building.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout operations.
- Manage operational financial performance including labor, materials, overhead, and capital investment planning.
- Support supply chain optimization, sourcing strategies, and supplier performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer regulatory requirements.
- Lead operational scaling, new program readiness, and manufacturing transformation initiatives.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in senior operational leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading multi-site operations within aerospace, defense, electronics, microelectronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, operational excellence, and process optimization.
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost control, ROI analysis, and operational planning.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and capacity planning tools; Epicor experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and build scalable, high-performing organizations.
- Excellent executive communication, change management, and strategic leadership skills.
