VP of Finance
As the company scales across global markets, it is seeking a strategic and technically adept Vice President of Finance to oversee financial management, operations, and strategy.

Description
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategy aligned with long-term business goals.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling; monitor performance and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee GAAP-compliant accounting, reporting, internal controls, and investor-ready financial packages.
- Manage and mentor a growing finance team (currently 3 direct reports + contractor bookkeeper), fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Own all aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls to ensure efficiency, transparency, and scalability.
- Oversee reconciliations of payment processors (e.g., Stripe) and ensure alignment with product reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to align financial strategy with business goals and market expansion opportunities.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA strongly preferred).
- 5-7 years in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) plus ~5 years in industry; at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role.
- SaaS, fintech, or other high-volume/low-dollar transaction experience strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SaaS metrics, subscription-based revenue models, and financial KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, financial regulations, and corporate governance.
- Proven systems orientation: proficiency with NetSuite, BI tools (Tableau), financial close management software, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Stripe, Bill.com, Brex, SQL, and cloud-based accounting platforms preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with executive presence, strong analytical skills, and ability to execute tactically.
