API Engineer
We are seeking an API Engineer to join our client's growing team in a hybrid capacity in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate has strong Java Rest and Spring Boot knowledge. THIS REQUIRES AN ONSITE INTERVIEW!

Description
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs.
- Monitor and improve API performance and reliability.
- Implement best practices for API security and scalability.
- Debug and resolve API-related issues efficiently.
- Document API specifications and processes clearly for team use.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in API development.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior developers when needed.

Profile

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with proven progressive experience in front-end web development.

Front-End Expertise: Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and major JS frameworks (e.g., jQuery, AngularJS, Ember.js, Bootstrap, Foundation); skilled in responsive design, mobile interfaces, and cross-browser compatibility.

Back-End & Integration Skills: Strong understanding of REST APIs, AJAX, XML (XSD, XSL, XPath), MVC frameworks, and template engines; experienced in object-oriented programming with Java, .NET/C#, PHP, or Ruby; adept at relational database design and advanced SQL queries.

Tools & Development Practices: Skilled with Adobe Photoshop and graphic tools, Git/SVN/TFS version control, unit testing frameworks, rapid prototyping, and web hosting configuration (IIS, Apache).
- Additional Competencies: Knowledge of SEO coding best practices, CSS3 animations, creation of reusable JavaScript libraries, and willingness to travel for off-site project work.
