This role supports manufacturing operations by performing advanced inspections, operating CMM and vision systems, and ensuring all parts meet customer and internal quality standards. You'll work closely with production and quality teams to drive accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

- Release products for shipment by verifying inspection results, documentation, and customer‑required certifications
- Perform dimensional inspections including PPAPs, first articles, and in‑process checks
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T fundamentals
- Program and operate CMM equipment using PC‑DMIS, along with FARO and Micro‑Vu measurement systems
- Provide direct quality support to the production floor, including measurement techniques and document interpretation
- Inspect incoming raw materials and manufactured components per defined quality procedures
- Collect, analyse, and present quality data and metrics
- Prioritise and manage QA lab work orders to support production schedules
- Conduct internal audits covering dimensional workmanship and documentation compliance
- Develop and perform calibration activities in accordance with ISO standards
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal issues and customer complaints
- Train and support new quality inspectors in daily inspection and measurement activities
Profile
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably metal fabrication
- Hands‑on experience working within a continuous improvement Quality Management System
- Strong dimensional inspection experience, including PPAP and first article inspections
- Experience programming and operating CMMs with PC‑DMIS
- Working knowledge of GD&T and technical drawings
- Ability to analyse data, calculate ratios and percentages, and interpret quality metrics
- Comfortable communicating quality information in one‑to‑one and small group settings
- Proficient with standard office software (Word, Excel, email, internet tools)
- Quality Technician certification preferred
- Associate degree in a related field preferred
