Superintendent - Commercial Construction

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee on-site operations for commercial construction projects for a Chattanooga, TN-based general contractor. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality standards and fostering strong subcontractor coordination.

Description

• Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain schedule and budget.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
• Review and interpret project plans and specifications, resolving issues promptly.
• Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and quality.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation for project tracking.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Manage material deliveries and equipment usage for optimal efficiency.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment on-site.

Profile

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supervising commercial construction projects and excels at coordinating large teams, solving problems proactively, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and clients are essential.
