Supply Planning Manager - Manufacturing
The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end supply planning processes to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products in alignment with customer demand and business objectives. This role involves strategic oversight of production planning, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve optimal service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end supply planning processes to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products in alignment with customer demand and business objectives. This role involves strategic oversight of production planning, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve optimal service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
Description
1. Supply & Production Planning
- Coordinate and lead the supply planning process, including preparation, release, and monitoring of the production plan.
- Create and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule (MPS) by effectively balancing supply and demand to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure alignment of the production plan with plant capacity and material availability.
- Issue and communicate weekly MPS to Production to reflect and meet SIOP and customer demand.
- Lead weekly MPS meetings with relevant stakeholders.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of end-to-end network planners and detailed schedulers to execute monthly, weekly, and daily planning using integrated planning tools.
- Guide and support the team in executing daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
3. Integrated Business Planning (SIOP)
- Coordinate and execute the monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
- Monitor SIOP KPIs and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are achieved.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting, demand alignment, and inventory control.
4. Inventory Management
- Manage finished goods (FG) inventory levels in line with strategic business objectives and customer service levels.
- Analyze inventory trends and determine appropriate FG safety stock levels to achieve targeted OTTR (On-Time to Request).
- Execute processes that maximize customer satisfaction while maintaining cost efficiency.
5. Crisis Management & Change Coordination
- Coordinate production planning during internal or external disruptions (e.g., operations issues, supplier constraints, or customer changes).
- Support new product introductions, production transfers, and implementation of new applications into serial production.
- Plan raw material and production requirements in accordance with equipment transfers and safety stock policies.
6. Master Data Management
- Ensure planning parameters and master data across systems (e.g., SAP, MDMS, o9, LMS) are accurate and maintained through active cross-functional collaboration and standardized operating procedures.
7. Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor and analyze daily deliveries, OTTR performance, schedule adherence, inventory levels, and production KPIs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for planning and scheduling, highlighting performance trends and key issues.

Profile
A successful Supply Planning Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supply planning, production scheduling, or related roles within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of integrated planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, o9).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
